A wax engraved map with hand colored lines representing rail roads. Size: 14-1/2 inches X 20-1/2 inches Map Type: Atlas This is an excellent copy. This map appeared in atlases from 1884 until about 1910, first for the H.H. Hardesty company and later, through acquisition, for the George Cram and eventually the Rand, McNally & Co. atlases. This map describes North Texas from the eastern border of the Sabine River to the High Plains in the west and from the Red River border with Oklahoma in the north to the areas south of Austin. On this map, rail roads have been highlighted in outline to show communities served and rail stops.
