This is a superior copy with strong engraving and vivid hand-drawn outline colors.

This rare sea chart was originally created by De Wit. It shows the Pacific Coast from Xalisco, Mexico to Puerta Bairres and Rio Cachapool in Chile. All of the Mixican Yucatan and parts of Cuba and Hispanola are shown, along with all of Jamaica and the Cayman Islance. Columbia is shown in its entirety, along with a small piece of Venezuela. A number of places along the coast are named. There are eight sailing ships and two compass roses, illustrated in full original color.
