This is a superior copy, with full color wash. Centered on the Seine, this extremely detailed map depicts the city of Paris at the beginning of the French Revolution. First issued in 1777 and updated regularly through the early 1800s, the map illustrates buildings, streets, parks, monuments and other landmarks. Esnauts and Rapilly (fl. c. 1775 - 1811) were Paris based print sellers and publishers active in the later part of the 18th century.
