Map Type: Atlas In excellent condition with a few margin stains homas, Cowperthwait & Company of Philadelphia purchased the copyright of the New Universal Atlas from Samuel Augustus Mitchell, Sr. in 1850. Taken from this atlas, this map is attractive and legible, and displays a growing network of rail roads, roads, and canals. The map also displays the topographical features of the state, including mountains and rivers. Ferry locations are also noted. Inset population tables.
