Two maps on one page entitled as above. Abraham Ortelius (1527-1598) was the "Father of Modern Cartography". He was the first to develop a compendium of maps to form a modern atlas. This map was taken from the famous and very popular atlas Theatrum Orbis Terrarum, or “Atlas of the Whole World" which was produced for over 40 years.
