This is an excellent copy, some age darkening along the crease lines, separations have been expertly repaired. Two age spots in Minnesota

This is a very detailed and superbly engraved map. It displays a detailed view of the eastern half of the continental United States, continuing west to include parts of Texas, Nebraska, and the Western Territory. Indicates drainage, state boundaries and shows many cities and towns with distances along roads and railroads. Indian tribes are indicated west of the Mississippi River. This map has a beautiful decorative border.

Bound into The Illustrated Hand-Book, a New Guide for Travelers Through the United States of America: Containing a Description of the States, Cities, Towns, Villages, Watering Places, Colleges, Etc., Etc.; With the Railroad, Stage, and Steamship Routes, the... dated 1850. It contains 123 wood-engraved illustrations in the text. The binding is the original red cloth and is gilt-stamped on upper cover and spine, though chipped on the upper and lower spine as well as on the corners.
