A good copy with vivid color. Water stain in lower margin not affecting image. Some offsetting.

Thomas, Cowperthwait & Company of Philadelphia purchased the copyright of the New Universal Atlas from Samuel Augustus Mitchell, Sr. in 1850. Taken from this atlas, this map is attractive and legible, and displays a growing network of rail roads, roads, and canals.

The map also displays the topographical features of the state, including mountains and rivers. Ferry locations are also noted.

Inset maps of Pensacola, Tallahassee, and the St. Augustine harbor. Inset "Water Routes" tables.
