An engraved map with full color wash Size: 13-1/2 inches X 17 inches Map Type: Atlas This is a good copy with vivid colors. General age toning throughout, water stain in right and lower margin and border, not affecting main image. Some offsetting Thomas, Cowperthwait & Company of Philadelphia purchased the copyright of the New Universal Atlas from Samuel Augustus Mitchell, Sr. in 1850. Taken from this atlas, this map is attractive and legible, and displays a growing network of rail roads, roads, and canals. The map also displays the topographical features of the state, including mountains and rivers. Ferry locations are also noted. Inset table list Steam Boat routes from Savannah.
