An engraved map, with hand colored wash. Size: 11 inches X 12-5/8 inches; Scale: 1 inch = approximately 30 miles. Map Type: Book This is a superior copy, with strong engraving and vivid colors. Thomas Salmon was an historical and geographical writer. He travelled extensively and resided in the Indies for many years. He compiled the publication Modern history, or The present state of all nations, from which this map was removed. The first volume of the work appeared in London in 1725. This map is from the Italian translation published from 1738 through 1761. This map of Czechoslovakia shows Berlin in the north, and Vienna, Austria in the south.
