An engraved map, with hand wash color Size: 10 inches X 15 1/4 inches Map Type: Atlas This is a very clean and bright copy with vivid hand outline and wash color. This map was used in many Hinton publications, including The History and Topography of the United States published by Hinton, Simpkin and Marshall issued between 1832 and 1834. The maps were engraved by Fenner, Sears and Company. In this map, the United States is pictured in it's Federal configuration, encompassing parts of British Columbia and excluding Mexico. Texas is identified separately. The range of many Indian tribes is identified along with mountain ranges, rivers, and other topological features.
