A copper plate engraved map, with hand colored outlines Size: 18.8 inches X 22.5 inches Map Type: Atlas This is an excellent copy, with very minor age spotting and very vivid colors. A fine, decorative map of the British Isles. The title cartouche incorporates mermaids and the royal coat of arms, and the arms of England, Scotland and Ireland fill the opposite upper corner. The title is displayed on a banner held by water nymphs with the Royal Arms. The arms of England, Scotland and Wales appear on the otherside suspended from a garland.
